About this work
Built in acrylic, graphite, and cold wax on panel, Quiet Mode Open Window System extends Array House's interest in stacked planes that echo floor plans and screens at once. The surface is deliberately layered, allowing shifts in color and edge to stay visible rather than resolving into a polished finish.
About the artist
Array House
Austin, TX
Priya Nair's paintings map the overlap between architecture, interface design, and memory. Working as Array House, she builds crisp contemporary compositions that feel planned at first glance, then break into smudges, erasures, and human-sized adjustments.
Artist statement
I use geometry as a structure for uncertainty. The grid gives me something to push against so the hand, the erasure, and the imperfect edge still matter.
