About this work
Built in acrylic, graphite, and cold wax on panel, Soft Index No. 8 extends Array House's interest in a controlled palette carrying small emotional shifts. The surface is deliberately layered, allowing shifts in color and edge to stay visible rather than resolving into a polished finish.

Artist statement
I use geometry as a structure for uncertainty. The grid gives me something to push against so the hand, the erasure, and the imperfect edge still matter.
