Wall Memory V is a paper collage, ink, plaster, and wax on board work shaped around layers of paper and plaster rubbing against each other. Copper June keeps the palette anchored in oxidized copper, plaster white, and warm umber so the whole body of work reads as a single conversation.

My paintings begin with accumulation. I trust abrasion, covering, and repair to reveal an image that feels lived in rather than designed from the start.
