About this work
Built in archival pigment print, Fence Study V extends Northline's interest in the edge between workday and evening. The surface is deliberately layered, allowing shifts in color and edge to stay visible rather than resolving into a polished finish.

About the artist
Northline
Austin, TX
Jordan Kim photographs the overlooked systems that shape city life: feeder roads, utility lots, warehouse fences, and the last blue light before night traffic takes over. Under the name Northline, Kim builds quiet photographic sequences that turn infrastructure into atmosphere.
Artist statement
I am interested in places that people move through without really seeing. My camera slows those spaces down long enough for color, shadow, and distance to become the subject.
