About this work
Margin Note No. 4 is a screenprint and risograph on cotton rag work shaped around the quiet labor of pulling ink through mesh. Paper Current keeps the palette anchored in deep teal, mustard ink, and apricot so the whole body of work reads as a single conversation.

Aisha Rahman prints under the name Paper Current, building layered editions that combine architectural fragments, hand-cut stencils, and offset color fields. Her work began in community print shops and still carries the urgency and texture of shared production spaces.
Artist statement
Printmaking lets me preserve the evidence of process. I like when a work still shows its registrations, its slips, and the decisions that happened between one layer and the next.
